Excellent food. Professional attentive service. great price point
Excellent , best value in Toronto , fresh food , erxcellent chef ,
possibly the WORST dining experience I have ever had--I essenitally was asked to leave after just finishing the main course as they needed the table--so rude--so amateurish--i will NEVER return
lovely little place - food yummy - soups and entrees superb, tasted other's choices and liked them too. Carrot cake huge and good but not stupendous. Service good = wait staff knowledgeable about how each dish prepared and contents of the dish.
Would definitely go back
Great food! Friendly service. Visited meny times and will go again.
Everything was so fresh and tasty. Every course was mouth-watering excellent. I had a Caesar Salad that crunched with freshness, mushroom soup that was to die for and salmon that has yet to be rivalled anywhere. Carrot cake ended a fantastic gustatory experience. My husband had a delicious flourless chocolate cake. Service was professional, efficient and comfortable. One of my favourite dining experiences!! And, oh yes, the wine...the wine!!! A must destination.
Great service great food! we were greeted by the owner who was beyond pleasant. once seated we had wonderful service and the food came out quickly and full of wonderful flavour! the price was very reasonable. we will return soon!
what a great neightbourhood place! everything fresh. very reasonable wines.
service was so pleasant. the seabass was outstanding, as was the lamb. my kids loved the burgers and pasta.
went with the wife, had another amazing meal. must go!
Unfortunately I have given this restaurant one too many chances to be accommodating, friendly, and receptive to walk in regulars who support their local community! The atmosphere is mediocre at best (stark white walls) and barren wood tables. All of this would be doable if the food was tasty and creative. My meal came cold and my husbands was not even edible! The server was rude and unfriendly. With so many restaurants to choose from in this big city of Toronto I would suggest "Kitchen" take a better look at pleasing its patrons!
The manager was not friendly, the staff was great but they need to do something about the upper management there. I wont eat here again strictly based on that.... There's many other places around there to go to
We have been to Kitchen a few times. The first time was great, but deteriorated with each subsequent visit. This past Saturday night was definitely the last time we will ever go to Kitchen. Too many items were unavailable on the already too short menu. My salad was limp and my chicken main course in edible. The service was shocking. No one came to check to see if our meals were ok; no bread was offered. No one came to enquire why my meal was uneaten! In all an extremely disappointing experience.
Maitland -- I don't know if we were in the same place. Our experience was 100% satisfactory. Perhaps you should give them another try. ES
Quaint and charming. Good food and pleasant service. Will return again. You will be glad you tried it!
so sorry to hear about your terrible experience. please allow us to try and make it up to you. we would be grateful if you would join us as our guest for dinner.
just call and ask for jeffrey. i will take care of everything.
My husband and I recently went here for dinner without the kids for a date night. We had a really enjoyable experience from the moment we got there. I would highly recommend the lamb, and the cheesecake I got for desert was amazing. The decor is simple but the flavors from the food were complex and delightful. The service was on point. It came across as a family friendly restaurant, which is perfect for this neighborhood, so next time we go back we will bring the kids. My son would love the burger.
EXCELLENT from soup to dessert. Food was wonderful as was the friendly service. Can't wait to go back!
We went to Kitchen last night with two other couples. The menu is limited, but has a good assortment of choices and several specials of the day. I ordered the soup of the day which was pea soup. It was delicious, prepared differently than I had expected, more than generous and piping hot. The rack of lamb with a mustard crust was served medium rare as I requested, with an assortment of stir-fired vegetables and my choice of potato. I chose a baked sweet potato which was huge. A friend of mine ordered a veal chop with a Caesar salad and no other vegetables. Both were very large, prepared as requested and extremely tasty. For dessert, we shared a piece of home prepared carrot cake with a cream cheese icing and six of us could not finish this one piece since it was humongous. The service was friendly and excellent. We would recommend this small, neighbourhood restaurant highly, but don't forget to make a reservation.
We go to this restaurant semi-regularly with our 5 year old. They are always warm, welcoming and friendly. They always make our daughter feel welcome.Ive never had a bad meal. I love their tomato soup and their pasta. The chef regularly introduces new specials that are excellent. I highly recommend this.
fyi, new owner/chef since may 21st!
Very Good, loved their rack of lamb! It was cooked to perfection. My husband had the veal's liver, and it was also very good! a very nice find for us in a very nice neighbourhood.
